N7 Dublin to Limerick

Project Title  M/N7 Dublin to Limerick
   N7 Dublin to Limerick
Project Description

This route is one of the major interurban routes (MIUs) due for completion in 2010.

Substantial elements of the route have already been delivered. The section of the road from Portlaoise to Castletown, work on which commenced in June 2007, officially opened in May 2010. The section of the road from Dublin to beyond Portlaoise is also complete.

In 2006, the provision of a third lane in both directions along the N7 from Newlands Cross to Naas removed major bottlenecks and reduced journey times.
